Privacy

Privacy, in plain English.

Last updated 4 October 2026

Nobody reads privacy policies for fun, so we kept this one short and plain. It covers what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It describes the site as it works today. If we add something that collects more, we will tell you here.

Who we are

We are Content Connect, a content strategy and media studio in Lagos, working with brands around the world. We run this website, so we are the ones responsible for what happens to your information here.

Got a question? Email one of us. The details are at the bottom of this page.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what a feature actually needs. Here is what that looks like:

  • Newsletter. Subscribe through the signup window and Substack looks after your email address and subscription. We only get what we need to send you the newsletter you asked for. Substack’s own privacy policy applies too.
  • Enquiries and bookings. Email us, or book a strategy call through our Zoho Bookings page, and we get the details you share: your name, email, company and what you want to talk about. We use them to reply and set up the call.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps routine technical records, like your IP address, the pages you asked for, your browser and the time. That is what keeps the site secure and online. We do not use these to identify visitors.
  • Your preferences. We save your pricing currency (Naira or USD) and your answer to the cookie notice in your browser. More on that below.

Cookies and browser storage

Short version: we do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and there are no ad pixels on this site. What we do keep in your browser’s local storage is two small things:

  • cc.currency: whether you are looking at prices in Naira or USD.
  • cc.consent: your answer to the cookie notice.

Clear them whenever you like in your browser settings. The notice will come back on your next visit, and you can bring it back any time from Cookie settings in the footer.

Third-party services

A few parts of the site belong to other companies. They follow their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies:

  • Substack, for the newsletter. Its form only loads when you open the signup window.
  • Zoho Bookings, for booking a call. It opens in a new tab.
  • YouTube, for episode links. Those open on YouTube, not here.

How we use your information

To reply to you, set up calls, send the newsletter you signed up for, keep the site secure and working, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Only with the providers who help us run these things, like our hosting provider, Substack and Zoho, and only as much as they need to do the job. We might also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and booking details stay with us for as long as we need them to respond to you and keep a record of our work together. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe. Server logs stay for as long as our hosting provider keeps them.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email us to make a request and we will get back to you within the time the law gives us.

Changes to this policy

The site changes, so this policy will too. The date at the top tells you when it was last updated.
